How to find the right workout routines for your fitness goals

Workout Routines

Welcome to The Workout Coach. I'm here to help you find the perfect workout routines for your specific fitness goals.

I've been a personal trainer and fitness instructor for almost 20 years, and I know that there is a lot of conflicting information out there about how to workout.

It's not "one size fits all" when it comes to fitness and nutrition. I'll help you set a goal and achieve it.

Finding the right workout plan for your specific goals is the key to success. If you want results, you need to follow a program that is going to appropriately challenge you. I believe that one of the reasons why most people don't stick to a daily workout is because they get bored because their workout isn't challenging.

Workouts also need to be fun! I understand why people quit their workout routine when all they do everyday is walk on the treadmill or mindlessly walk around the gym from machine to machine. Boring! Change it up, get excited and find something that stimulates you.

For serious results and to feel amazing, you need a workout routine that has a beginning and and end. Recovery days and high intensity days. A nutrition plan that will help you reach your goals and it needs to align with your S.M.A.R.T. Goal.

All workout routines should incorporate a core workout program and functional 3D movements which occur in all directions, not just forward and back. This will help you build functional strength, which will help you perform better in every day life and sport.

The best workout routine for weight loss incorporates weight lifting workouts and high intensity cardiovascular training like treadmill workout plan and track workouts. These types of routines will work for people who need to start slow and increase intensity as they are ready. This type of training is also the best way to increase your fitness level if you have hit a plateau.

If your goal is to lower your body fat, then I recommend training like an athlete. Boot camp workouts and jump rope workouts are awesome for leaning out. Both of these types of workouts can be done anywhere with very little equipment, so they are perfect for people who travel and don't have a lot of time to workout.

I personally love High Intensity Interval Training (H.I.I.T. Workout) and Tabata Workouts. I went through a period where I wanted to focus on yoga and Pilates, but now I'm back in to the high intensity training and I'm seeing amazing results and I'm excited to get my workout started every day. Bonus!

Free Weight Workout

Free weight workouts are great if you want to put on some muscle and lose body fat. Some free weight workout plans focus on set repetitions per exercise rather than for time or to failure. This is the best way to build muscle. You will also have to follow a very healthy eating plan with lots of protein. Building muscle takes time, dedication and organization.

The ultimate goal of any workout routine is to increase your metabolism (through exercise) so you don't have to eat like a bird in order to lose weight and stay fit. I use healthy Crock Pot Recipes, Shakeology, PB2 the P90X Nutrition Guide and the Insanity Nutrition Guide to create meal plans that my family loves!
